I have an 1983 f100 with the esux v6. Currently, I am in the process of removing the emission. This truck does not have to be smoged and all of the vacuum lines and accessories are gone already.

My concern is the distributor. would it be possible to swap it to a pre emissions with the dura spark set up? Any info would be appreciated.

 

Doubtful. Even if it would physically fit at the very least you'd need to swap the reluctor for one off a 6 cylinder engine. Are there any aftermarket options for that engine?

 

Try the V6 forum. They'll be more knowledgeable about V6 engines.
