Not sure why they won't work for a DRW, where are you getting that? I have an 04 350 SRW so I have the same front axle. Mile Marker's application chart shows the same hub part number for 250-350 Dana 50 & 60 from 1959-2004 with no notes that it won't work.
I run Mile Markers. It's the 3rd set I've run on different vehicles, and I've never had any issues with them. They're cheaper than Warn, and splitting hairs here, I don't like the look of the Warn hubs.
Those are what I am looking at. When you look on Warn's application chart, their hubs for my SD state in the notes area that they will not fit SDs with DRW. I don't know why but it does. That's why I'm asking out here what everyone else has used instead of Warn's.
I just installed the Warn Premiums on my truck yesterday. The only thing I can think is they are an inch shorter the the factory hubs and maybe since the dually hubs are so far set back in the wheels already that them being an inch shorter will make it so you have to turn the hubs with needle nose pliers or something. Just a thought. The instructions in the box did say no DRW applications.
I guess that makes at least some sense. Seems weird they would say they don't work for the application because of that alone. The Mile Markers do come with a plastic thingy with tabs that fits over the hub to help you lock it. I always figured it was included in case your hubs got stubborn and difficult to turn. Now it makes more sense...it probably is for DRW applications.
Could be. I have been kicking myself saying I could have got them cheaper with the milemarkers, but I just love the warns. After reading the review posted above I am glad I reassured that I went with the warns. I think the little plastic thing to help you turn them is hokey myself.
