Getting tires today
And as for the tires, man these things grip. I trekked through the muddy woods, got a load of wood, and trekked right back out. It was pretty sloppy and I could slide around in the muck, but I never once had to "try" to not get stuck. I just putted around in bull dog.
I'm not sure what stripper does to rubber, although I expect it'll not do anything. However, I would take a tire/wheel combo off and lay it flat on the floor so the stripper won't be running down onto the tire. And, it wouldn't hurt to put masking tape on the tire and under the rim of the wheel.
Use the stripper as directed but maybe not right to the edge of the wheel, or maybe just lightly there so you don't have it running onto the tire. But, you will have to use some elbow grease there.
If the magnet sticks, meaning it is a chromed steel wheel, your chances of scratching the wheel are far less. If it is aluminum you'll have to take some care to prevent scratching, but if you do the scratches can be taken out.
Good luck!!
