They're starting to get old enough that I guess people think it's time to replace them. Others are starting to come off warranty and I guess the owners are leery of potential expensive repair bills down the road.
I got rid of mine to really say I owned the "big 3"
I think i miss my 6.0.
Don't feel too alone. A couple of days after I got my 6.0, I took my '91 GMC Sierra 1500XLT to the "park and sell" lot to clean up the driveway (too many vehicles). I put a price on it I thought was a little high because selling it wasn't important at the time. 2 hours later I got a call, dude test drove it, didn't flinch at the price, paid in cash and was gone before I knew what happened! Truck Gone! I had it 7 years, standard cab, short bed, step side, 285/60 BFG's on aluminum wheels, dropped 4in, new black paint, nice interior,Pioneer system, 350/700r4, Summit cam lifters true roller double chain, cold air intake, TBI spacer, Reese hitch, brake controller, trans cooler, shift kit etc. Etc. Etc.... Thought I saw it going down the road the other day..
I was gonna sell mine to get a dually, but thought for the price of tax and registration **** for a new truck I could take that money and convert this truck haha and I would rather take the fun route
