Other than being obnoxiously loud at times and having a drone when towing, no issues with it. Hope to go with an actual system before long with a muffler.
Hey Bob, is yours dumped under the truck, cause mine was before, and experimented what you just posted, but when i extended it to the bumper, i dont get that effect anymore?

Obnoxiously loud? With a turbo? Maybe u needs u a durd cummins
7.3 turbo without a muff is a thing of beauty, kinda sounds like angles singing
I love my straight pipe, a slight drone depending on rpm when pulling, but nothing you don't get used to. It's not that much louder though. I took out the muffler and put a pieice of pipe there.
I ran mine out before the rear wheel, the only thing I cant stand is when Im passing a semi or driving by buildings is when I hear the chchchchchchc, it annoys the crap outta me but other than that I LOVE IT, its a thing of beauty hearing the sound of the exhaust when your on it hard
My dually has been straightpiped for over 200k miles - best cheap mod ever. I got a free piece of stock 3.5" exhaust and paid muffler man $40 to put it in place of stock muffler. No 'drone' with my flatbed, but the drone in my X from the MBRP is kinda annoying. I'm not sure straightpiped stock would be worse, since the 4" system is much louder overall...
FWIW, there is no performance advantage going stock straightpipe to 4" system, just more noise.
