Yesterday i took to the truck to go grab a christmas tree. It was probobly about 45-50 degrees, and the ebpv stayed on for most of the 15 minute drive. Once we got there, i decided id had enough of it and unplugged it. Drove it home with no problems. Came out this morning, fired it up and it came on on the way to school. Shouldnt it be disabled now?
It sounds to me like the EBPV is still closing. This could only be due to the valve that controls the actuator opening by itself OR something is messed up with the linkage that rotates the valve; allowing it to just flop around.
Its really beginning to **** me off. Its unplugged, no power right? Yet it only comes on when its cold, goes off after driving for a while. Is there even anything else that can be making this sound? I thought it may be my clutch being out of adjustment as it doesnt do it at idle, but then again the EBPV stays open at idle because the RPM's are to low right?
