That sucks!
Show them the price of new grille and the fender section cost to replace the damge ones. Then let him or her dwell on that awhile.

That kind of stinks Bill!

Thats why people have insurance. Get his insurance info and file claim with his insurance company. If he does not have insurance then he needs to pay out of pocket period!

I have the parts if you need them.

Just dont let him get away with what he did. Even if he tells you he does not have insurance he still might as most do not want to file a claim. He did it so now he pays its that simple.

Bet you will end up in court in a civil suit to settle this, so you might as well get in touch with an attorney.

Some people just have no frikin clue! Just cuz it's not shiny like that BMW,doesnt mean it has a lesser worth. I had the same thing happen to my 66 chev. The old guy bashed into the back while it was parked. I had just taken the back bumper off to get redone,so you can imagine the damage. All he had to say was "the dents just match the age of the old pc of ****" Any way, i sooooo agree, MAKE EM PAY!!!!

Sorry to hear your pretious treasure was damaged, with winter setting in, actually, not sure Arizonians get a winter, you will want to get he/she repaired as soon as possible. Anyhow suggest giving him the estimate for damages, and don't forget the bumper and repaint, then let him know you will be expecting his response in a couple days. Not sure what type coverage it's referred to, if a person causing the accident can't, or not willing to settle my insurance company covers damages and then they deal with him. Had simular incident few months back, good ole me, tried to work it out and I got punked in the end; opps. ., that's to say; eventually over period of weeks had to resort to numerous phone calls and threats of civil court before he settled up.

Dave you are liable for any harm or damage that you cause to someone or their property. The person is liable for repairs. I suspect the insurance wont cover without a lawyer, so he needs to get on it.

You need to file a claim with his insurance as soon possible in my opinion. I would not let anyone get away with that kind of attitude or behavior or let them off for their disregard for damaging someone's personal property because it does not fit their personal sense of value or worth of what a person drives.

Just my 2 cents.
