This tool is not needed for diagnosis, but really helps on getting rid of stuff you don't want: an angle grinder with a metal cutting blade and a metal grinding wheel. I was past 50 when I bought my first one & kicked myself for all those times before when I could have used it.

LOL I keep one grinder set up with a cutoff blade, but so far have not needed it on my idi. lol
I also have the largest stihl gas cutoff saw, I guess I could carry it with me. if it breaks down, I could just cut it in pieces small enough to carry home. lol
