Choke Cap Setting

For those of you that are still running a choke cap with electric-assist, where is your choke cap indexed? As in 2 rich, 1 rich, center mark, 1 lean, 2 lean...etc.

Got mine set at index, as per the emissions label under the hood.

Thanks, Devino. Are still running the stock Motorcraft choke with the hot air choke tubes? Do you have a different setting for the summer weather and another for the winter season?

Yep, stock hot air tube. No change for seasons.

With the Accelerator pedal wide open , or off idle , Set the butterfly closed ( if the motor is stone cold) .. WHen the motor starts , the choke pull down should open the butterfly a little . When the choke coil begins to heat up , it opens the choke gradually as it warms up
