check engine code 1464
I have a 2005 F350 SRW CC 4x4 6.0L. The check engine light came on, a friend scanned it showing code 1464 (A/C Demand Out Of Self Test Range) and the auxiliary fan (i believe electro vistronic is the correct name) is continually running. Can anyone offer me some guidance on what to troubleshoot and look for, any help would be appreciated.

p1464 means the a/c was on durring the self test. the fan being on can be anuy number of things but I suspect a failed vdf.
the p1464 will not turn on a light. try a differnet scanner that reads can bus
