Small smoke puff

The temps are down to 25-30F around here and I have noticed a bit of white smoke. If I let the glow plugs cycle for 5 seconds or so and crank, the engine will start in about 3 seconds of cranking and will emit a bit of thin white smoke. If I let the glow plugs cycle for 20 seconds, the truck starts right up as it does in warm weather with a quick puff of thicker white smoke. I am just checking to see if this is normal. The truck has no starting problems.

if it is small then it may be condensation in the exhaust. if it smells like diesel then the gp may be weak

I changed the GPR last winter when I had starting issues, but the relay cleared them right up. I figured it was probably the condensation in the exhaust.

Are all of your GPs working? If one or two are not the truck will still start and blow out the unburnt fuel until all of the cylinders are firing. Which is normal.
