Its not as bad as I thought it was. I did it from up top. Move degas bottle and take FICM out. Would have been easier if i could of found a swivel joint for my rachet. Its a 1 1/16 inch deep socket IIRC. Doesnt take long at all. Probably longest part is teplacing the harness. Also remove the harnesses to the injectors dont want to break them.
does anyone have any experience replacing a Bad ICP Sensor in a 2004 ford f250 6.0?
thanks,
Brook
Depending on the build date of your 2004, the ICP is either under the turbo or on the right valve cover. As the other post states, you can get it from the top, but with my lifted truck, it was easier for me to remove it from the bottom. The rear heat shield has a 13mm bolt tucked behind the turbo intake Y pipe and two 10mm bolts to the right of that. Once that was out of the way, the ICP can be easily accessed with a 27mm socket. I was lucky and had a socket that did not have to be cut down. You can also make your own stubby wrench. It's a tight fit under the turbo. Be sure to inspect the ICP connector for oil contamination. Hope that helps.
