Heater core hoses-which is which?
Getting ready to back flush both front and rear cores on my 1999 Ford Exp. Eddie Bauer. Looking to find out if anyone knows which of the two heater hoses on the firewall are in the in/out? Thanks!

To be honest I never bothered to check. I flush in both directions just to make sure nothing has settled on either side of the core, so for me flow direction is never an issue. If you really need to know, remove one the hoses and run the engine for a few seconds, just long enough to see which side of the hose the coolant chugs out of.

The one on the right(looking from the front bumber) is the inlet and the left is the exit. For the rear, just go from the t's and youll be able to see which is which for the rear.
