Cooling problem

Alright here is my problem. My radiator fluid keeps disappearing. I am not seeing anything left on the driveway or parking spots. And my engine is getting hot quicker. It hasn't yet reached 260 but i bet it gets up to about 210 or so. That is even when i am breaking my own wind and not drafting no one. I do a decent amount of highway driving. I have a 94 ford ranger 4.0L 5 spd manual. Any help at all is appreciated. Do you think it is the head gasket? If so hard is that to change on a 4.0L? Could it be a waterpump or even a thermostat or something stupid?

Thanks
Matt

If it was a head gasket, you'd be seeing white smoke out of the exhaust. How much coolant disappears in how long?

Cooling problem

it's going into the engine if it's not leaking from anywhere.

check your oil for contamination.

it's best to fix this sort of situation asap, so it doesn't lead to a non-running condition.

My friend just put a new engine in his chevy truck, due to a simple intake manifold gasket leak.

Cooling problem

Tighten hose connections if you can. It could be leaking out somewhere and evaporating before it hits the ground, so you won't see it.

thankyou. I do see some stains on the block around the upper radiator hose like where the thermostat is. I am going to look at it tomorrow. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated
