I ordered the same bulbs 86f150 mentioned in his write up and the fit and quality was perfect. I also managed to switch my bulbs without detaching the speedo cable. It was a major pain but ididnt know how to disconnect it so I made it work.
I still need to Change my 4wd lights. I didn't know they could be changed or I would have a long time ago.

you keep the original bulb just take the green rubber cover off the bulb and use a sharpie of the right color lol
also the 92+ didnt have a speedo cable it is electric
I did my heater controlls, you just have to be berry careful peeling it off.
If your truck is a 4x4 then the 4wd buttons can be changed colors too.
Pull the main dash bezel off to where you can see the back of the box for the buttons. There is a spot for a Phillips screwdriver that will pull out the little bulb. It has a green cover on the bulb.
Pull the cover off the bulb.
I used a red paint marker to color my bulb red and put it back in, works great
how did you do your heater controls? I noticed it was like a stick on (sticker like) with the green tint on it.
