Does anyone remember what the measurement is from the end of the frame back to center of axle. It's a stock frame on a 53 F-100, I got ahead of myself an removed the axle and springs and didn't mark the frame. After I find out where to mark it I can go from there forward a 1 3/4". From what I have been reading, that should put the tire in the middle of the fender. This is what I get for getting in a hurry.
The factory drawing for the cab/chassis '54 F-100 (would be same in '53) shows it's 35.8" from the back of the frame to the center line of the rear axle. Stu
I think he is referring to the front of the frame to the center of the front axle. I can't help as I have a volare style front end in mine for more than 20 years.
Duh, yeah, I guess that does make more sense doesn't it? The same chart shows it's 38" from the face edge of the front bumper to the center line of the front wheel. Does that work? Stu
Yea, what I need is the measurement from the end of frame (front) to the center of front axle. I'm putting on Jag IFS, so I have the truck striped down to the frame. If I have to I will put it all back together and find out.
