Need some help with installing tailgate lightbar

So I bought a tailgate light bar off of ebay. It has the scanning turn signal feature. After reading the install instructions, I realized I need to install the turn signal wires to the front turn signal wires because the rear turnsignals and brake are the same wire. I called the company and verified this with them. I also need to connect to a key on 12v source. My question is, what color and where are the front signal wires located under the dash? I figure while I connect to a 12v source I can just connect the signal wires at the same time. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Bill

use your 7 pin or 4 pin trailer harness for those wires

go to Walmart or most any parts store and purchase a 4 pin trailer connector.

wire that connector to your bar and then simply plug it into your 4 pin

per the install instructions it says not to use the 4-pin connector. the company says I need to wire to Front turn signals not the rear.

Sounds like the logic circuit they are using relies on a separate turn signal and brake light. Not all light bars are like that. Mine uses the tail light circuit for use in lighting at night and the rear turn signal circuits for the turn/brake function. If you want to run wires along the frame and tap onto the front turn signals, be my guest. I would return the light bar myself and not deal with the drama that light bar puts you through.

Do I need to wire in after the Smart Junction Box since this controls the turn signals?

I just tapped into the front turn signal wires to install my lighted mirrors using this link:

TheDieselStop.Com - www.thedieselstop.com

you would be tapping into the same wires.
