egr valve out, doesnt look too bad
intake is out , i am suprised at how loose the bolts seem, they are not very tight.
I'm currently working on removing the uppipe for the egr delete this is a royal PITA. i got one bolt out working on the one behind and under the top of the uppipe, then it is on to the oil cooler removal and cleanup
Very wise to cover that turbo drain to the HPO cover B4 you pull that oill cooler
Im thinking everyone gets into a hurrey and just pulles the oil cooler out and the big gush of oil takes all that junk from the valley of the moter right into the HPOP and takes out the IPR
on that up pipe It does suck especialy if you dont pull the whole thing out
I didnt pull it all out either I would of if the up pipe and driver side exhaust manafold bolts would have been more accessable
I just replaced the one side passenger to for the egr deleate getting it out wasnt to bad it was putting the new up pipe in with the metal oring gasket that sucked. I just did it laying ontop the moter feeling my way around back there and finaly got it. its a POS for shure
quick question. while the fuel filte oil filter assembly was out i placed the blue spring mod, and i figured since i had the whole kit of parts that i would swap out the top white part, as well as the brass valve that the spring rides in, well the top white part didn't want toi sit ont he white tube that is in there and i removed it to find the plastic tube that the white part you see was now cracked, is this a major issue or is it ok
the part im referring to is the top arrow designated in the pic and the part that broke is the tube right behind the white part that you see when you remove the cover

It took me and the wife to get the new up pipe in one up top and one on the creeper But we got it
I cranked the upper joint tight and then waited to do the lower joint at the up pipe to exhaust manafold till after I had the turbo all hooked up
them turboes can be touchy going back together

I had no such help, I was laying in the engine bay like superman to reach the bolts, I didn't leave any loose, I'll see how hard the turbo goes in if it doesn't want to go i'll have to loosen the lower bolts some. I swear that f mine loses the whistle like yours did i will be tearing this thing apart again

all cleaned up ready for new unit, brake cleaner works great, like my rig job on the turbo oil drain, it is parked on an incline and all the oil as soon as you remove the oil cooler flows right to it, had vacuum ready and running to catch it all
hello BPD unit, aint it sexy, i almost felt bad hiding it under the intake
this is a pic of the bottom of the bullet proof diesel oil cooler, very well built unit
got everything installed except the turbo and intake tubes, turbo is in engine bay, it is nice and clean too, powermax! but having a hell of a time getting the up pipe lined up and getting the clamp on, then next time i have off , it is time for stage 2 of oil cooler install which is the condensor mounting and routing of hoses
