Tips on getting stand pipes out??? 2005

Hello,

I have my 2005 F-250 torn down due to a loss of HPO pressure. I have the upper section of the stand pipes out, but the lower section is being quite the pain. Any tips?

Thanks.

I had the same problem on the drivers side. I just replaced the top piece and got on down the road. I have heard that you can remove the hpo rail to remove the lower section, but not 100% sure...

Yeah, I have the oil W pipe out. The stand pipe is being quite the pain. I can turn it, wiggle it, move it around in the hole but it wont budge. I had the 19 year old weight lifter next door try to pull it out, no go.

I used needle nosed pliers from SK after a few attempts with other tools. I marred it up pretty good working it with different tools so I HAD to get it out.

Tell your neighbor he's a pansy once you get it out!

I got it. Had to make a puller, but I got them both out. The 35 degree ambient temperature wasn't helping matters! The o-rings were hard as a rock.
