I am looking for a pair of rocker/valve covers stamped "Power by Ford" to suit the 302/351C or 400, I think the part number id DOAE 6582 A.
Or does any one have a second hand pair in good condition they want to part with?
Cheers,
Shane
Do you mean the 302/351W? Those are both Windsor-series engines and those rocker arm covers could (might) be the same for those two engines. These use 6 bolts to hold them on.
The 351C and 400 are of a different engine family and the parts are not compatible with the Windsor engines. These rocker arm covers use 8 bolts to hold them on.
D0AE-6582-A looks like an Engineering ID number and not a part number.
I know the differences between the Cleveland and Windsor, that is why I asked for 302/351C or 400 on this forum, as they run the same rocker (valve) covers, or rather they will fit the same.
Just as I know the 302 Cleveland heads will fit a 400, as mine has the 302C heads fitted.
I don't know what year the valve covers are from, all I know is they are off the 302/351C or 400ci V8.
I got the part number from the 400 V8 parts website I found, so I don't know if it is a part number or engineering number, sorry. Link here: M-Block 351M/400 Parts Reference
