Blinker problems

My blinkers work but my selector wont activate both of them it will only activate the right one and i have to hold it there to get it to work. After some fiddlin around now the stick with only activate the left one. Is there some alternative i can do that will get it to work without havin to use to much time or money?

Sounds like your going to have to pull the steering wheel, that requires a puller to do. After you do that look at your blinkers cancelling cam, that's the white thing that looks like a silver of the moon. and see if it's broken off and in the way of your blinkers making contact. It's a real good time to replace it cause your already in there and who know's how old it is. Next peel off the little disc retaining the cancelling cam and look at the blinker switch. It has two little 'nubs' that slide back and forth when you move your blinker ****. If they are broken off or not in the holes in the backside of the blinker cancelling cam that's a reason your blinkers don't work.

Be very carful when you pull it. I think it has fine threads and most steering wheels aren't fine thread. I stripped mine and had to drill it out and tap it.

If you do get a new one, I'd get NumberDummy to look up the part number for you and see if there's any NOS ones left. I prefer NOS to reproduction.

FoMoCo did not sell any part of the T/S switch by itself, only the complete switch.

C9TZ-13341-C .. T/S Switch / Available from Ford.

Applications: 1965/66 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F100 4WD / 1967/68 F100/350 / 1969 F100/350 before serial number G30,001.

MSRP: $61.98 / FTE Ford Dealer Parts Dept sponsor PARTSGUYED.COM price: $44.63.

1961/65 F100/250 2WD; 1966 F100 4WD; 1967/70 F100/350: BE CAREFUL when removing the steering wheel as the horn brush and nylon insulator will fall out.

Both these parts fit into a hole on the outside of the steering wheel, below the horn ring or button.

When unknowing peeps remove the wheel then tilt it, the parts fall out...usually unnoticed. Then when they reassemble, they wonder why the horn no longer blows.
