Outlet timer?

Awhile back we got on the topic of block heaters. Someone said they have a timer on their outlet, that allows the power to come on and turn off at a set time? Id like mine to click on at like 3am so by 6-7am its good to go. Does anyone remember this? Cant seem to find one anywhere

I've got one I use. Just run down to the local hardware store and they should sell them. The timer will plug into an existing outlet and then you set the time on the box, then set the on and off time. Plug the cord into the timer and into your truck and you're done.

I got mine at Home Depot a few years ago.

outlet timer or plug in timer. Either one will work. Mine is just a little box with a short pigtail extension coming off it to plug in.

I have mine set so it comes on about 2 1/2 hours before I leave. I don't need mine for the cold, I just use it because I'm a wimp when it comes to cold weather and like the heater to start working faster.

I also use a cord with a lighted end and have a Marinco plug in the bumper to make things easier.

This one is similar to the one I got. It isn't outdoor rated so I just plug it in inside the garage then snake the cord out under the overhead door and plug it into the truck. The one I got was sold at Lowes under the name Utilitech. I think I paid around $18 for it.

Nice thing about the digital ones is that you can program them to come on and off at different times each day (even several times a day). I can program mine to have the truck ready at 6:30 during the week and 8:00 on the weekends, or whatever. I think it has like a 20 even memory per week, so 20 different on or off times per week. It really works well.
