ground anchors

I was just wondering how many ppl use ground anchors when they go out four wheeling? For those that do use them did you buy it or build it?

I never heard of ground anchors till this fall and I have been in a few situations where a ground anchor would have come in real handy.

I used a "PullPal" when I wheeled my little Toyota truck and have used it a couple of times. They are handy tools when needed. Picked it up from 4 wheel parts warehouse in Tacoma, WA.

I have never heard of a "ground anchor" but I do see the potential need for one while off-roading.
