Depends on how confident you are. Some are plug and play, others will require a splice or two.
Crutchfield will sell you all that you need if you go through them. Pro shops (installers) usually back their work for as long as you own the vehicle. I like that peace of mind and have my electronics installed by the shop. Cost isn't much more honestly.
im looking at a touchscreen kenwood.. Is it and easy installation or should i go get it professionally done
Nick,
A while back I installed a head unit with a kit that I bought at Crutchfield. I had no problems as the support and instructions from them were excellent.
If you're patient and a tinkerer, I'd say do it yourself.
I also soldered ALL the connections to the pigtail connector that Crutchfield sold me whereas a shop would just put on those cheesy crimp connectors. The solder helps reduce/remove the amplifier hiss.
thankyou one more question i have the factory subwoofer ford gives you the option to have when i bout my truck i want to add another can i do that with the factory or do i have to take it out and put two aftermarket subs in

Not sure what you're asking.
My opinion is that IF you are running the SUB through an AMP, you only need ONE for that truck. Low frequency sound (bass) travels slow and hard, so in that small space one will be just fine. I suggest you replace the factory sub with a good aftermarket one.
