New user, looking for advice

Hello all! I've been looking at buying a ford truck for some time and I believe I have finally found one. 2004 F150 Lariat crew cab. It's in great shape, runs great but has 130,000 miles. I've put a deposit down to hold the truck and got them down to $12,000. Just looking for some good advice and if other Ford owners. Any advice is much appreciated

Do you have a good mechanic friend?
If so take him to see the truck and check it out.

NADA says $13,250 for a clean retail in my area of the world.

I agree

But also search this forum for common issues with the 2004 model and have your mechanic look for these issues.

thanks for the information guys! Hope all goes well... I have another question, but started another thread about it because it is more specific and needed some good intel. thanks
