99 SD mirror conversion

Got a 99 SD 4dr short box with the manual tiny mirrors. Why did they ever put these on? Anyways, I know I can put the tow mirrors on but how hard is it to convert to the power? Don't care about the heated part. Are the wires there in the door just waiting for the switch? Doubtful. I'm pretty mechanically inclined but some input would be great! Look forward to your guys help! Thanks

ive been thinking about this for my truck.

i have been wanting to just get the switch and wire 12v to it to power the mirror.
im not sure how the switch works, but it couldnt be too difficult.

i've seen the switch available at LMC truck. I want to get the tow mirrors but if the power is easy i'll do it to.
