Hi I have an 02 F-250. I'm getting the strangest vibration in the truck around 19 to 2300 rpm, it feels like the carrier bearing bracket has broken, as soon as I let off the gas the vibration is gone. with the truck in park the vibration comes in around 3000 rpm. I can feel it the most when I put my hand on the throttle body. Looking for any good advise. I have replaced O2 sensors spark plugs. I also checked the motor mounts. I love the truck and I know the V-10 is a good motor, I'm just hoping the guy before me didn't thrash on it!
yes the motor is running ruff, but only within those rpm ranges. Another weird thing is that if I let the truck sit for at least an hour then restart it, the vibration is gone till I hit those rpm ranges. When I plug in my sct tool or my regular scan tool I get the P1000 code and I try to clear it but it wont erase. What is a COP connection?
I've had a couple go bad on mine. It ran lousy under load, but never set the check engine lamp. No misfires were detected so I went at it the old fashioned way. While it was running, I pulled the connector off the coils, one at a time, to see which one didn't change the tone and idle of the engine. I found #1 bad, and when I tested it with my multimeter, it tested the same as a new one. It didn't really affect the idle much, though. I kept my hand on the top of the motor while I unplugged the coils. Even running on 9 cylinders, these things run fairly smooth at idle.
