This weekend I installed a BBk 65mm throtlle body on my 2000 F350 V-10. With the stock throttle body as soon as you depress the gas pedal the truck starts to move, with the BBk throttle body you press the gas pedal and nothing happens for about the first inch (estimate) of travel and then all of a sudden it wants to snap your neck. Is this normal?? It doesn't "feel normal. Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, what did you do to correct it.
Yes, this has been discussed before. Go to this thread and read thru it to find the answer. It has to do with the way the throttle cable attaches to the body. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...=throttle+body
Keep us posted on power gain, i replied to your private message, but did not think about cable adjustment since mine bolted right up with no problems.Should be something simple, good luck
It turns out the cable length was the problem. Added a 3/4 inch spacer at the cable stop at the gas pedal and it worked fine. I couldn't believe the difference in power. Unfortunately neither could my wife. She drives the truck all week hauling the kids to school and it scared her.
Bottom line is the 65mm throttle body is back in the box.
I will sell it for $250.00. It was only on my truck for 1/2 hour but what a difference.
Thanks KTM, got the TB Thurs, installed Fri. played with it Sat. The pig is awake! Crisper throttle response and felt HP increase. Time to get headers and chip. Thanks again KTM
