Power Problem

I have a 04 F450 6.0 It starts right up & runs fine, but the turbo doesnt sound light its kicking on & it has no power. Most of the time It will run down the freeway at 70, 75mph no problem but there has been a time or two it wont go over 45mph. It also has no power to go up a hill & it will not pull a trailer.

Any help would be great

Thanks

Pretty sure the '04 don't have factory boost gauges; that's an '05 and up thing.

Sounds like stuck vanes/unison ring, leaking CAC boots or fuel filters. Need a little more information....have you checked for any codes? How recent are your filters?

I spoke to a guy who had the same problem, said he looked under the hood and found that there was a hole in his turbo big enough for him to put his finger in it, and he had no idea how that happened either. He patched it up and said it works great now and has his power back.

some gauges would be a BIg help here

you can get a ScanGauge for around 160.00 and will show you alot of stuff
you may need to clean a sensor or might have to go alittle further and pull the turbo and clean it hard to say at this point

you will be able to program the SG for Boost as well

Also get the codes read it may give you some direction to go in
