From my understanding.. Its a lot smoother then the factory elbow.. Suppose to help boost mpg/hp etc.. Plus it has a boost port already in it so less time spent tapping the factory one..
Well The Chrome One Looks Awesome I Must Say On My Truck , As Far For Mileage = No Increase, Power = Not Enought To Notice, But The Egt's Did Drop It Is Just A Little Smoother And For Under 200.00 Couldn't Go Wrong And I Do Like The Port For A Boost Gauge Or Maybe Even Nitrous

Well, errr, it is polished, not chrome my man . . .
I have mine on back order since they had to have another run made at the caster's. When I talked to them they had sold out and were waiting for the next batch to be cast. I ordered the plain one but they do have polished ones too for an extra $20. I too was interested in the boost port and hope to gain just a tad better MPG. If nothing else, it makes it a little easier for the turbo to breathe. Just like adding the Fluidamper, I'm not interested in maxing out HP and torque to the Nth degree, more looking for better reliability and longevity.
I ordered mine a while back. It was easy to install took about 10min. I did notice a slite power increase not much , no difference in millage or egt. The only thing I didnt notice till i had the old elbow off was that My elbow is drilled and tapped to low to mount boost guage. I called Acufab and they want me to send it back and when the new ones are ready they will send me one out. Ill just drill and tap it myself.

I have an 05 f350 and I'm waiting on mines. What gets in the way of the tap? That's another reason why I ordered it, so I don't have to fuss with drilling my own hole.
Mine was drilled and tapped about an inch above the base. Next to the egr valve. I thought with a ninety i could make it work but it is to close to the egr. Also I have to do some more testing on the fuel millage. I hand calculated to just over 20mpg on 250 mile round trip from Tucson to Safford today. About 190 of those miles were interstate about 77 mph set on criuse the rest from 55 to 65 with a few intown miles. Normally i get about 16mpg stock 18mpg BDTD set on tow/economy. If I filled correctly both times sitting at the pump for 20min squeazing every little drop i could get in on both fillups this thing does help with millage and well worth the money. Every little bit helps when I spent just over 6000$ on fuel last year.
I think they corrected the boost port location as the one I just received has the port further up the neck about an inch or so away from the CAC tube hookup end. Hooking up a boost probe will be no problem. I installed mine today and getting it onto the CAC tube was a bear! But overall, a pretty simple install. Truck's running great. A few extremely subjective observations:
1. Better throttle response.
2. Seems to run smoother.
3. Engine doesn't seem to be laboring as much as it did before.
Again, those are very subjective. Unfortunately, I don't have an EGT guage at this time so I don't have any input in regards to any EGT effect. However, I've been tracking my mileage (hand calculated and computer readout) since I bought the truck about a year and half ago. I'll be taking a road trip next weekend (a trek I've made many times) and will have some objective mileage data within the next couple weeks. Stay tuned.
