I have a couple of problems with my 92 F150. I use this truck for my snow plow truck and the intermitten wipers quit working. I cleaned the switch completely and the next thing was to find the little black box underneath the dash to check the solder welds and see if that was the problem. I am dumbfounded, I cannot find the little black box. Any suggestions? Also this truck has decided this year to not run very well, I have put dry gas in it, I have put new gas in it, I have checked air filter for obstructions, I have cleaned off.... guys this truck will set and idle all day then when I go to take off it dies out, the only way I can get it to start is hold the pedal down on the floor. After doing this a couple of times than it won't start at all until it sets for awhile. Any suggestions here? Guys, I have been on here before but it is usually for my 05 Superduty. This old 92 has never let me down before, thanks for any help you can give me.
92-96 has it behind the glovebox, on the right side if you remove the box and reach around. You can also reach it from underneath if you have smaller hands.
Thanks for the info, I will check behind the glove box and see what I can find. As far as checking the fuel pressure regulator, no I have not and is this something that this weekend mechanic can do? How?
