Transfer case swaps

will a 23 spline NP205 driverside drop fit in a 1990 f250?

I believe the spline count is the same. My question is why a NP205? The Borg Warner 13-56 has better gearing and is alot lighter. The NP205 is alot heavier, has a higher low range gear ratio too. The only pro is that it has gear to gear vs a chain drive. I run 44 TSL's on my truck,4:10 gears in the axles. In low range I race it in third gear,no prob. I have yet to break a 13-56 too. Just my .02 !

figured I'd go with it cause I'm runnin low on cash at the moment and its readily available. I dont really need 4x4 as they do a good job of keeping the highway clear, I do a fair amount of off highway driving, and it would be nice to have it if needed. perhaps in the future when the monies aint an issue i'll purchase a 1356,
