Getting new headlights for the rig for xmas
So are the 2005-2008 headlights easy to install? And what needs to be trimmed for the install and will I be able to use the same HID's?

It is the plastic retainer valance behind the lights that will need to be trimmed. Just line up the new lights and outline what will need to be trimmed. Nothing too crazy just bring a wood file and a good pair of plyers and you'll be good to go.

You can get a nice adapter that is plug n play, just make sure you get the good one (ceramic one)...oops sorry its 9008 lol. Headlight pig tail: 3u2z-14s411-fkaa that is about 50$.
Here is the area you must cut to fit the newer style with older bumper and header panel...
Here are some too but dont think they handle higher wattage bulbs...
