Knuckle Seals
For my '66 ford I am getting a heavy Dana 44 out of a '75 to put under it. The truck has the higher front GVW.
I need the the knuckle seals. The are a 3 piece (1 felt, 1 steel, and 1 rubber) seal. One on each side. Are these still available?

Yes they are,I got mine at NAPA. If you can get your hands on a copy of the ford truck bible the author has a really good step by step install !!

Geez, I was going to say the Knuckle was made by Harley-Davidson from 1936-47 and, furthermore, why do you need these old seals for a Ford truck, but it sounds like bunchoftrucks had a better answer...

Yeah OldHarley those Knuckles and Pans ALL needed better seals, just like dogs they always marked their spot LOL guess thats why the oil tank was as big as the fuel tank. That being said thats a good looking scooter your sitting on, hope you get some riding in before winter hits.

Are these the big seals that are held on with 10 or 12 bolts? Do you have a part number?

These seals come in a kit from Ford, but I'm not gonna attempt to look them up without the front driving axle ID tag.
1973/79 F100/150 4WD: The are over ONE HUNDRED front driving axle parts lists. Without the tag, it's a PITA to figure out which kit is correct.
With/without free running hubs, before/from certain serial numbers, front axle weight capacity must be known.
