Yeah I got all my parts from BPD it wasn't a cheap set up but once i get all teese issues worked out the truck will be a beast. If you call them they are real helpful in explaining their products and what you actually need and don't need.

Yes I know they aint cheap I just wasnt shure what parts all changed with one.

To costly for me I did a OEM oil cooler a few monthsback And so far so good They would have to cut the price in half for me TO get one

I think its a great deal to have a remote setup But its not to bad to change the Oem cooler either. Its not the pluging that worries me as much as a breech inside it and mixing of the fluids could be catastropic

Thats exactly what happened to me i had to replace my entire cooling system. I put in an all aluminum radiator, all the hoses, and degas bottle. Then flushed my system what seemed like a few thousand times.

Thats my FEAR

And the kicker is you can watch it all you want with gauges and have a Good spread [no plugged oil cooler] and still have a breach.

Now its probably safer to have a non plugged oil cooler but I really think a breach is a manufacture defect [oil cooler assembly issue]

You cant see a breach comming like you can plugging

All I know is I look into my coolant bottle all the time for sign of oil even though the temp spread is good

Once its setup like you have it its worrey free

Exclamation oil filter/cooler relocation conversions beware!

Just a side note...if someone is putting on a remote oilfiler relocating it, make sure your in and out lines are not crossed, this could make the oil go in filter backwards and push the anti drain rubber flap in the filter back wards and give you low or no oil pressure.

Well I finally got some time to work on the truck. Its been crazy here with all the rain and the OT I have had to work because of it. GOt the the IPR and decided to pull it and check out the screen. It is detroyed. The screen is completely full of crap and split wide open. I have a replacement and I am going to put it in. Do I need to replace the IPR because of this? Could this be the cause of me not building oil pressure, or just the cause of a bigger problem?

You need to replace that IPR looks like it clogged and built great pressure And trashed the IPR Valve

Its more than likely from all the other recent work to the oil cooler whoever did the work got trash in the HPO system

But for shure you need a new IPR the whole IPR valve New its trashed I wouldnt just replace the screen theres a 85% chance if you just replace the screen it still wont work right It might not run right may also get poor fuel milage

Your best bet is a new IPR IMO

Alright well Ill get that ordered tomorrow. I found one on amazon new for $162.00 with next day delivery. When I get the new one installed how do I force it closed so I can air test the hpo system to make sure I have no leaks. I don't want to wire it wrong or put to much current to it and fry it.

can I try to start it before I put the turbo back in? Orw ill that hurt the engine? I would hate to put everything back together just to have to tear it apart to air test it again.

if the oil line to the turbo is not hook up its gona spray oil everywhere turbo Got to be HOOKED UP

But like I said after seeing the screen pushed and torn like that it clogged up and built Great Pressure and forced the junk thru it the end result is an IPR thats stuck open so it wouldnt build pressure causing the shop to think its a HPOP when it wasnt

Really Im a 100% shure that was your problem

I havent ever seen it but I guess with the Tremendious pressure that the HPO system saw right B4 the IPR blew out it could have blown something eles out with it
But I havent ever seen that on here either

Usually when Folks post a pic of an IPR that looks like yours did they replace it and there back up and running with the replacment of the IPR

Even if you put it back together getting the turbo out again is a peice of cake you have already went thru the learning curve of removal
I think you could replace the IPR and be good to go though but to each his own

There is a good chance that this site saved you the cost of an HPOP ............. It is likely that an IPR replacement will be the solution.

2006 F350 6.0 w/61K

Easiest thing to check is the dummy plugs in the oil rails. Takes a little effort but you do not have to remove any wiring harnesses if you work it a little. Valve covers only and one connector. My truck had the warm start issue and I jumped on the HPOP STC connector and it turned out to be the plugs. No biggie as I went ahead and blocked off the EGR cooler (brazed a freeze plug into the rear of the cooler and added a block off plate where it connects to manifold just in case it ever leaks - did not alter up-pipe and EGR valve still there so looks stock and does not throw codes) and installed ARP studs while I was in there. (One at a time as others have and did not remove heads - note that EGR cooler and valve, oil cooler and head gaskets done under warranty at ~ 51K prior to me buying it.) Had to back track to the plugs when all done. Driver's side was the culprit. Truck runs great with no issues at all. And no, I do not anticipate issues with the gaskets. I mean if a head has to be super flat before installing it, implying the bolts won't draw it down, then why think removing one bolt will allow it to flex enough to compromise the head gasket? This whole process was not that difficult but making a bench to kneel on just inside engine complartment was the key! (Pad it with old carpet.) I could easily do the whole thing in a weekend now that I know how to go about it. Plan on getting an SCT X3 3015 soon. Found new ones for $299.
