Front driver side door speaker goes from working fine, to crackling, to cutting out. It`s been doing this since the day I bought it. Has anyone else been experiencing this on their new rigs.... I`ve had a local audio company tell me they have seen a few new Ford with that problem.
that has happened a few times on my '11. Seems to be somewhat related to the roughness of the road I'm on (and, living in what seems to be the pothole capital of the "civilized" world, there are plenty of rough roads around here). It hasn't happened enough for me to feel the need to take it in just for this so I can't say for sure but, it sure seems to be acting like a loose speaker wire connection somewhere in the door that is being occasionally jostled on bumpy roads(slamming a fist into the door panel near the speaker has gotten it to cooperate on two occasions now).
mine started doing that on driver side as well(2010 screw) it has nothing to do with road condition as mine will cut out or crackle even if I'm park while cleaning the truck or waiting for someone or sitting at a light. I will be mentioning that next time she goes for service
Mine was doing that for a while until I replaced the speakers. I discovered the problem was in the connector, not the speakers. I put a little dielectric grease on the connectors and the issue went away.
My '09 started doing that just the other day. I'm assuming a cheap solder joint. I'll check it out when I take the door panel off and report back with my finds.

Mine isnt cutting out but Im having an issue where both doors are rattling if I have any base in the music at any volume. Anyone else having that problem or a remedy?
