1949 F3 + Galion dump on body
Just purchased a chasis with body on back. It has a regular truck body that I will use to restore my F3. Underneith there is a dump mechanism that uses a pto and has twin cylinders to raise it. "The Galion Allsteel Body Company" is on the nameplate. Does anyone have experience with this brand?

Welcome to the board!!
We're glad you found out little corner of the web. I've never heard of the Galion body but thats not saying much. We have several members who are very knowledgable with the larger trucks and some of the add on bodys, beds, etc.
Once you get settled in try your hand at posting pics (it can be a pain) I'm sure people would like to see what you have.
Take care
Bobby

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Not only dump boxes and such, but Galion made road graders and other heavy equipment, too.
