I'm stumped

My truck won't start and im stumped
No blown fuses
Wait to start light works
Changed idm
Changed cps with a working one from a running truck
Batteries are good
Glow plugs work
took chip out

But the tach does not move even with changing idm and cps anyone got any ideas?

Did you multi-meter the fuses for continuity? I've had several "blow" but not obviously at all. HPOP res and fuel bowl full?

IPR could be stuck, happened to me. But, then again, that doesn't have any thing to do with the tach not moving? Is the CPS seated in all the way and the wires and plug OK?

You probably have an issue with the cps connector. the contacts can get loose. Take the connector off and see if the contacts are loose.

The wait to start light always lights up
The chip does not light up when installed
I'll check the cps wiring today

I would have to check it for sure but doesn't the check engine light illuminate when you are cranking?

the cel will light when cranking if the pcm is not receiving a signal from the cps if i am right been a long time since i have had a crank no start without a crank signal. i would check all connectors and ohm between the cps connector and pcm also check for shorts or opens in the wires
