The CEL will come on at key on for a light bulb check. If it is on while cranking there is a problem ..

I got 2 auto PCM and 1 5 spd
And swapping the questionable one into the running truck is a good idea I didn't think about it like that

Cam sensor maybe? mine went out and it woudnt hit a lick.

Have you tried unplugging the ICP and trying to start it?

you said it was hit and miss, hows it run when it does run? do you have another scanner you can get hooked up to it?

Id say the tach not moving originally was the batteries being not charged up, or if there actually was/is a cps issue thats intermittent then maybe an issue in the harness? mine had a 3 wires that insulation was warn off in spots, but the exposed copper was green, so id bet its been that way a while. what other things on a psd can be intermittent?

It runs fine when it does start and the tach is moving when it won't I haven't dug into the harness yet but I guess I'm gonna have to I'm gonna try another gpr for grins. I think ipr can be a lil Tempermental

i had the exact same problem. wires chaffed under the intake. if your not gettin any tach signal at all, you got a cps or wiring issue for sure, without 200 rpms on the scale it wont even fire the injectors

mine wore right under the intake too.

200 rpms required before the injectors fire? is that an exact number?
