Question Direction to go

05 ford f250 Larriat 6.0l 84K - don't tow/haul anything - estimating truck

Ok so I just purchased new y pipe and Up pipe for the exhaust smell in the cab. I have only owned the truck a short time and replaced a few thousand in parts so far......I am awaiting on the part to do the install. Now I would like some advice on where to go for the rest.

1. I didn't see any re-designed y pipes that keep the EGR system. Anyone have a link?

2. While I have it apart I want to make the truck solid (or better). I see the updated egr cooler from IPR research and they sell the high flow oil cooler. I can't spend 1900 on the Bullet proof oil cooler and I can't see doing all the mods involved, I wish i had the time and money. . I have seen the threads on the sacrifice for the IPR cooler. My question is if I can't afford the bullet proof cooler and just do the updated egr cooler am I pissing into the wind? I know there are A LOT of opinions on the IPR oil cooler but does anyone have some numbers to show the data on long term? Do i do the EGR cooler without the new oil cooler since its suppose to be superior? I just want to minimize major damage thats out of my price range such as 12k for a rebuilt engine due to piston damaged or similiar.

3. Based off of most peoples issues does the delta T between EOT and ECT USUALLY throw a code before causing major damage to the engine?

4. Oil bypass filter or coolant filter?

5. Do the updated Turbo tube/ oil stand pipe tube (i think those are the names)?

Trying to play my odds here. I am hoping this isn't the casino

I would flush the cooling system first then install the BPD EGR cooler, and a factory oil cooler and update the turbo oil feed and drain tubs and stc fitting when you do your y-pipe. I would also install a coolant filter. If you do the work yourself you can do all of that for 1k or less.

Thanks for the info, thats just what I will do. 1k would be good to do a lot of major improvements.....I just can't hack the $1900 for one part. Has anyone used the IPR oil cooler that can comment. I havent seen too many souls that have this in long term, I'm still curious on the results even if I don't use it.
