not running????
i recently put a 1976 360 in a 71 truck. i kept the electronic ignition on the engine and tried to hook it up. heres my problem: the engine will run as long as you have the key held over to the start position. but when you let go, it looses fire and the engine quits. i ckecked and i have power to the coil when the key is on so its not the switch. could the ignition module be bad?? or what?? please help

its not the switch, i tried a different one and it run the truck before i changed engines. i did also run two wires to the module. could i have them backwards?
