Well i was wondering what air pressure most of you guys are running around here. I have 285 75 16 tires on what i think is stock sze aftermarket wheels. I have been trying different air pressures and currently running 60 front 65 rear.

55 Front, 65 rear.

Thats how they come when I rotate the tires. Sometimes I bump up the fronts to 65 to match the rear.

Max pressure all shoes.
Better economy, last longer, and don't have to adjust when taking on weight.
Just makes for a bumpier ride when empty, but hey, it's a truck..

I thought the recommended was 65 front since that is where most the weight is and 55 year when empty for maximum control.
But it is correctly stated that maximum pressure gives you max fuel economy in regards to reducing tire drag.
Summer I run 65 to 70 all the way around. Max on my Toyos is 80

I run 55 in front and 60-65 in the rear. Any more than that the center of the tires wear out too fast.

Does seem ask backwards to run less in the front to me. Most of our trucks see way more weight over the front axle than the rear. More air in the rear seems like you would wear out the center of the tires way faster. I know on my dually I run max front and 65 in the rear and my back tires only wear in the middle.

A typical 4x4 7.3 CC SRW truck has 1400 lbs more on the front axle compared to the rear while unloaded. I never run less than 65 psi up front even though my door sticker says 55 psi will do. I vary on the back from time to time but mostly I roll around with 80 psi front and rear because I can go from unloaded to fully maxed out at any time during the day depending on what is happening at work.

I have never had any issues with uneven tire wear. I prefer more air in the tires because the steering wheel is solid with no slop and the fuel mileage is better.

Stiff ride though...

Yea that is very true, I load 2300 lbs in my bed often, but most of the time the bed is empty. maybe i will lower the pressure today and see how it rides.
