Tach sensor=tranny problems?
My tranny started acting up again this time the tach is going to 0 at idle and goes back up when I accelerate could the irratic shifting be caused by the tach sensor?

Assuming you have an E4OD, then yes, a malfunctioning tach sensor will cause all sorts of transmission gremlins. You can try to clean it up, check the electrical connections etc, but you will probably have to replace it.

I found a thread on here that told me how to test the sensor today any it tested bad so I went to the dealership and paid $75 got a new one and now it shifts like a dream for now lol till the next sensor goes out wonder which one that will be

Still got those test instructions? I went ahead and scoped mine, same test as the VSS and the wave form is totally erratic with snares all over the place, which would mean the teeth are damaged? Or could this because the teeth are on an angle to the magnet?
