96 F150 solid axle swap
Hey im sure theres been a ton of threads about this but im looking for specific details on what all im going to need to do. I have a 96 F150 that has a 6 inch suspension lift and 3 inch body lift on 38's. Im putting a solid axle out of a 78 F150 in it. Im going to use the factory long arms with it, and i have the degree shims (7 degree). i have a factory track bar bracket, i was planning on just extending the track bar. I have the track bar and all of the steering linkage. I believe i have to shorten the steering bar going to the pitman arm. other than that, thats all i know. I believe everything else is either bolt in or close to it. im doing it this weekend so im trying to make sure i have everything as ready as possible. Thanks for any help.

also i want to use my radius arm brackets. I have to move them forward about 3 inches because the factory long arms from the solid axle are shorter than my longarms from skyjacker. But im not sure if i can use the stock brackets

Everything can bolt on with the exception of the trac-bar bracket on the frame. There are a few guys who have made bolt on brackets, but that still requires fab work. Have a read on this site:
