Hey gals and guys of VA I hope everyone is enjoying what should be a short week.
I would like you all to help me welcome sensibullto the VA Chapter. He comes to us from Chesterfield with a IDI F250. Please make him feel at home here!
Thanks again for the warm welcome. New to pickups in general and diesel in particular. Always been a DIY guy, just never learned to work on cars or trucks. I figure a relatively uncomplicated diesel with mostly mechanical (and cheaper) parts was a good place to start, and at some point I want to experiment with running a vehicle on vegetable oil or making my own biodiesel (fits in well with my other hobbies of growing my own food and brewing my own beer).
Always room for a newbie! We're glad to have you. We just hope that you'll stick around and chime more than once a month...or less!
So what are some other hobbies? And if you can brew your own beer, and it's worth drinking, then biodiesel shouldn't be too hard. I understand that the setup is the worst part.
Too many hobbies, too little gainful employment ;-)
Besides gardening and brewing, I fix computers, do a little woodworking (one-off gifts, mostly, like the truck below for my truck-obsessed nephew), retrofit dead Philco radios with digital brains (Rephil), design concert posters (Wondercabinet), and write fiction.
Welcome sensibull. Feel free to join us in the chat session. There's a lot of peeps in NY converted their vehicles to bio or veggie oil . One of the propane dealers is now offering bio-diesel.
