What i have is a 05 f350 V10 with approx 118,000 miles on her. I have been dealing with a fuel gauge that started out bouncing from full to empty it varied every time i started the truck then it eventually stopped reading all together (read empty all the time) i dealt with it all summer just kept an eye on mileage as i drove...BUT winter is coming and she is a snow plow truck and we all know that the gas mileage is not the same when your pushing snow!! so i decided to replace the fuel pump and sending unit (ford oem pump and sending unit from ford dealership) replaced whole unit and get her all buttoned up and still the gauge reads "E"?? any help would be greatly appreciated!! also when i went to remove the fuel pump assembly from the tank the sending unit was laying on the bottom of the tank...do i need to reset something, is there a fuse that could be blown or am i dealing with a bad wire/pcm?
