Axel Swap

Are the axels in a 7.5" the same as in the 8.8"? Is the spline count the same?

i am almost sure that they arent, i know the 8.8 has a 28 spline and a 31 spline. the rangers have 28s i think. the 7 in rear end is smaller then the 8.8 so i dont think u can just swap gears from one to another. try the rangerstation.com, they have awsome info on rear ends
