Glow shift gauges
In my own humble opinion I would suggest at least shopping around Isspro EV2's. A little expensive but let me tell you, they look clean especially if you like a factoryish look. Very easy to read at a quick glance, easy to install. I am bias though because I own a set. Not really what you are looking for from the OP but just my .02 for what its worth... definately give them a look.
You're going to get a lot of people here that dislike them. And to be fair, they have a relatively good reason to. However, I run the Glow Shift elite series gauges in mine, and they're everybit as accurate as the Autometer gauges that I've run. A buddy even let me use his autometers to check out the accuracy... again, Autometer is also somewhat frowned upon.
I have the elite black gauges, if I had it to do over again, I would probably go white. They're a BIT tough to see during the day and if you're not in the drivers seat, you can't see them at all. If I'm in the passenger seat of my truck, I can't see them. The other thing that bothers me is that you can not dim them, they automatically dim when your headlights are turned on, but they're still a bit too bright for night time driving (which is 99% of my driving).
All in all I'm happy with them, and it was worth the price. I've never run Isspro's, so I can't say how much better or worse they are, and to be fair, if I were able to afford them at the time, I probably would be running the isspro's.
However, the Elite series gauges are fully electric, with stepper motors, a "high" alarm and a "low" alarm, both a light and audible beeps, that you can custom set. They also have a memory that shows you your max on any gauge you're running, so you can recall max boost, egt, trans temp, etc.

The GlowShift gauges are affordable. I do see a lot of people having issues with them though. I think they stand behind their product, but not 100% sure on that. I can tell you this, buy the gauges you want! Save up for them and buy quality products. I like many people have spent more than my share of money on items that I end up replacing later because I went cheap the first time. Yes, you can spend less if you choose, just think long term........if you replace them later do to faults or you just didn't get what you wanted the first time, you are not saving money or time.
There are lots of really nice gauge options out there. Spend some time and research all the options, spend a little more now to save your money later.
That is my .02 worth on it.....

I see a kit for our trucks on the internet for just over 200 bucks that comes with a tranny temp, pyro, and boost pressure on the A-post that I am thinking I am going to get this christmas. I am willing to try them again to see what a difference it makes between the steering wheel and A-post.

I know many of the previous threads on this subject were actually about not being able to see them. I chose GlowShift at the time due to funding, and interior scheme of my truck.
I got the tinted series and have not had any issues with being able to see them. They are accurate with everything I have monitored them with.
I would however, recommend Clay's kit, as it is a very nice setup, Riffraff Diesel: RDP Triple Gauge Kit
But for reference these are how mine look. Not great pics, but you get the idea.

I have four of them and Its been a year now, I have fuel pressure, trans, exhaust and turbo boost. The only issue I've had is with the exhaust temperature gauge, it went wacky and was replaced no questions with warranty. I think there great especially for the price, and I have the color changing ones. I would watch out for their exhaust temp gauges, other then that your good!
I bought a set of the triple pillar - EGT, Boost & Tranny temp. The only issue I have had is that two of them no longer remember the last background color selected. Whenever I restart, they default back to blue. The odd thing is, the only one that does not use an electrical input signal (boost pressure) is also the only one that remembers the selected color after restart.
