EEC problem is still there
Do you think the o2 sensor could be sending a signal to do this??
Anywyas last night the truck was just sitting there idling and wham it started stumbling and spitting. I jingled the harness around, nothing, shut truck off and started again nothing, finally I unplugged the EEC and plugged back in again, and it worked. Drove about 30 miles home from a friends house and no problems, just check engine light.
I would like to get this solved before the winter! Any suggestions???Only thing controlling the injectors is the hot wire, EEC signal wire and the ground.I know they have power, and thee EEC works (for the most part), I am going to replace the ground wire tonight. Go new from Battery to frame to block. Maybe that will do something.
Thanks for your help! Keep it coming!
Oh yeah anyone have Fords Tech center line. Hell maybe they know something they did desogn this gosh darn system!
eheheheh...Ya 'cause you know they're dealerships don't know anything...took 'em forever to find my EEC problems and that was because they finally swapped out the right part....
"Ok, let's see if this part will do it!!!"
Good luck
Phil
Well here is this weekends story, it happened again. I loaded my bike up for a race in IL and I had it idling. After I got the bike on it started to idle like crap and what not. So I figured I would take a look at the harness resistance and continuity. Shut the motor off and checked. Iunplugged the 4 injectors, and checked the resistance 3 ohms, just where it should be. Then i checkedpin 59 (bank 2) to ground. I had to check it at the connecter just past the EEC (could connect to pin 59 good) and it all looked good. Plugged that connector back in and fired her up on 4 cylinders, plugged in a fith injector, ran better then another and another. Everything seemed to work great.
Drove 45 miles to a friends house, then 100 miles to IL for the race, and 150 miles back home later that day. No problems at all. Got me. Maybe it was in that connector? All I know it seems to work, but for how long, at least i know it is somewhere in the injector harness.
Thanks for all your help.
