Finally changed the headlights

After much debate, I decided to replace the headlight shells in the '93 EB. Since I bought it a couple months ago, the lights have been yellow and real dim. Bought a kit to revive the lens but with more inspection, I found both lights had about 1" of water inside and this had caused the rear reflectors to go to crap.

So, read all I could about which units to get....just could not see the price of the factory units from what I found. Sssssoooo.....I looked on Rock Auto and decided on the middle priced units without the bulb since I had new ones. Only $60 shipped to me by ground. Took 3 days to arrive. They came with new bulbs!!!!! plus the adjusters have the correct size hex end.

Now the install...read where it is easy to do without pulling the entire front off the truck. Well, mine were not working with me at all. Decided to pull the grill after 30 mins. and not able to get the lower latch to release on the first light.

In the next 30 mins., I removed the grill and had the lights on the work bench. 10 mins. to swap the housings and back on the truck. About 20 mins to re-install everything, including the overflow container and the battery and tray.

I.5 hours from start to finish on pulling the grill and all, 30 mins. wasted on the first light being a pain.

Dang nice to be able to see farther than 15' from the grill.....lol
Before installing, I measured the old light adjuster positions and set the new the same. They came so close that I did not have to change the adjustment at all.

Thanks to all before me for posting good info on small jobs.
